BESS telemetry identity

WE MAKE SYSTEMS
SELF-AWARE.

Every battery diagnostic starts with an assumption: the channel map is right.

Signal Accord adds an independent check using the battery's own behavior. We test whether the data called Cell 4 is actually supported as belonging to Cell 4.

No machine learning. No training on labeled batteries.

01 / Your stack assumes
This telemetry belongs to Cell 4.
02 / We independently ask
Does the physical battery support that identity?
03 / Why it matters
Before you diagnose the cell, make sure you have the right cell.
Blind verification

You keep the answer.

Choose a battery where you already know the true mapping. Hide the identities in a later period and keep the key. We freeze the correspondence supported by the telemetry — or say the evidence is ambiguous — before you reveal the answer.

What is new

An identity check that does not depend on the identity record.

Signal Accord uses a trusted reference and later operational telemetry to determine which mapping the physical behavior supports — independently of the identity record being checked.

No training fleet

No labeled-battery training.

The method does not require a neural network, training epochs, or prior exposure to the target battery.

No forced answer

Ambiguity is a result.

If the available telemetry cannot justify one correspondence, we report that rather than guessing.

Independent evidence

The map becomes testable.

Configuration can still say what a channel is. Signal Accord gives you another line of evidence.

Prospective result / System 17

40,320 possibilities. Correct full map: 30/30.

In a prospective test on a previously unseen eight-cell system, Signal Accord faced 30 hidden-correspondence trials across six chronological window-pair comparisons.

Signal Accord reconstruction
30/30

The correct full eight-cell mapping was uniquely recovered in all 30 protocol-defined trials.

Strong individual-cell baseline
25/30

A strong per-cell statistical comparison recovered 25 of 30.

Corresponding negative control
0/30

When the identifying information used by the method was removed under the corresponding control, unique recovery disappeared.

The result is not a trained Cell 4 classifier.
It is an independent correspondence test.

BESS Telemetry Identity Audit

Your diagnostics assume the map is right. We independently test the map.

Independent by design

A second proof of correspondence.

Signal Accord adds a different kind of evidence: a correspondence check that does not depend on the point list being checked.

Traditional traceability check

“When I stimulate declared point A, does declared tag A respond?”

Trace the declared source through the BMS / EMS / SCADA stack and verify expected behavior.

Signal Accord

“Without trusting that declaration, does the battery independently support A being A?”

Use physical behavior as an orthogonal witness to the asserted correspondence.

The deliverable

A mapping verdict with an evidence trail.

We return what the available telemetry warrants — including ambiguity and lack of identity information.

01 / VERIFIED

Verified.

The declared mapping is independently supported by the available evidence.

02 / CONFLICT

Conflict.

The strongest supported correspondence disagrees with the declared map or another evidence layer.

03 / AMBIGUOUS

Ambiguous.

The evidence narrows the possibilities but does not justify one unique assignment.

04 / INSUFFICIENT

Insufficient.

The available telemetry does not contain enough information to certify a mapping.

Where this matters

Verify identity before decisions inherit it as truth.

Use it when mapping confidence matters to acceptance, recommissioning, diagnostics, or historical analysis.

01

Commissioning & SAT

Add an independent identity check before acceptance and before downstream analytics inherit the map.

02

Firmware, controller & BMS changes

Test whether correspondence survived an intervention, migration, replacement, or integration change.

03

Disputed diagnostics & warranty work

Before acting on a cell-level diagnosis, independently verify that the history belongs to the physical component you think it does.

04

Inherited or migrated telemetry

Test correspondence when historian lineage, documentation, tag changes, or data migrations make identity less certain.

Blind verification protocol

Put your own telemetry map to the test.

You retain the answer key. We return the mapping supported by the battery before the identities are revealed. Blind verification is scoped to bounded eight-cell groups from the same physical battery.

01

Choose a trusted reference.

Supply an earlier period where the physical channel identities are considered trustworthy.

02

Hide the later identities — not the behavior.

Supply a later period from the same persistent components, but secretly rename the component identities. Keep timestamps and simultaneous measurements intact.

03

Keep the key.

Do not tell us the true permutation. We freeze the mapping result and its uncertainty before you reveal the answer.

04

Include the engineering context.

Provide units, sampling cadence, signal dictionary, known outages, and relevant firmware / BMS / EMS / SCADA / historian changes between the two periods.

05

Agree the score before the reveal.

We pre-agree exact-match scoring and how ambiguous or insufficient-evidence outcomes will be handled.

Independent verification

Run it blind on your battery.

Use a mapping you already know and keep the answer key. Signal Accord returns the correspondence supported by the telemetry before reveal — giving you an independent test on your own system.
